To
configure Windows ME for ACCI:
- Double Click My Computer
- Double Click Control Panel
- Double Click Internet Options
This opens the Internet Explorer Configuration Panel
- In the Home page section:
- Double Click the box labeled Address:
- This will highlight the box
- Hit the Delete Key on your keyboard
- Type www.automatedcomputers.com into
the Address: field
- Click Apply
- Click the Connections tab
- Click Setup
This will start the Internet Connection Wizard
- Select the third option "I want to setup
my Connection Manually"
- Click Next
- Select "I connect through a phone line and
a modem"
- Click Next
- Uncheck "Dial using the area code and country
code"
- Click inside the Telephone number field
- Here you will type your local access number
- *MD customer's make sure to type the 410
in the telephone field
- Call us at 410-228-0550 (voice line
only) for local access numbers
- After typing the the telephone number click
Advanced
- Click the Addresses tab
- Under DNS Server address Click Automatically
Detect.
- Click OK
- Click Next
- Type in your User name:
- Type in your Password:
- Remember both User names and Passwords are
typed in lower case letters
- Click Next
- Change the Connection name to ACCI
- Click Next
Email Configuration
- If you would like to setup your email account
click Yes
- Click Next
- *If you have other email accounts
on your machine you will be given an option
- -Create a new Internet mail Account or Use
an existing Internet Mail Account
- -Click Create a new Internet mail Account
- -Click Next
- Type in your name
- Click Next
- Type in your email address
- (You picked your email address when you
signed up)
- Click Next
- The first line should read "My incoming
mail server is a POP3 server
- The box labeled Incoming mail should read
mail.automatedcomputers.com
- The box labeled Outgoing mail should read
mail.automatedcomputers.com
- Click Next
- The Account name should already be
filled out with your User name
- Type in your password (it is the same password
as before)
- Do not check Log on using Secure
Password Authentication
- Click Next
- Click Finish
