To
setup a new connection:
- Double-click
on the My Computer icon.
- Double-click
on the Dial-Up Networking icon.
- Click
OK to create a new connection if none are installed, or click
New to create a new connection.
- Type
ACCI as the connection name.
- Choose
the box for "I know all about phonebook entries..."
- Click
Finish.
- Enter
your local phone number in the box for phone number.
- Take
the check out of the Use Telephony dialing properties box and
out of the Use another port if busy box.
- Click
on the Server tab.
- Select
PPP, TCP/IP, Enable Software Compression, and
Enable PPP/LCP extensions.
- Check
the Use IP header compression box and the Use default gateway
on remote network box.
- Click
OK.
- Click
the Script tab.
- Select
None.
- Click
the Security tab.
- Select
Accept any authentication including clear text.
- Click
the X.25 tab.
- Select
None.
- Click
OK to complete the setup.
At
this point you have completed the setup procedure for a new connection.
Use this connection to dial up ACCI and then open your Internet Explorer
browser and you should be all set to go!
