Setup for Windows NT

To setup a new connection:

  • Double-click on the My Computer icon.
  • Double-click on the Dial-Up Networking icon.
  • Click OK to create a new connection if none are installed, or click New to create a new connection.
  • Type ACCI as the connection name.
  • Choose the box for "I know all about phonebook entries..."
  • Click Finish.
  • Enter your local phone number in the box for phone number.
  • Take the check out of the Use Telephony dialing properties box and out of the Use another port if busy box.
  • Click on the Server tab.
  • Select PPP, TCP/IP, Enable Software Compression, and Enable PPP/LCP extensions.
  • Check the Use IP header compression box and the Use default gateway on remote network box.
  • Click OK.
  • Click the Script tab.
  • Select None.
  • Click the Security tab.
  • Select Accept any authentication including clear text.
  • Click the X.25 tab.
  • Select None.
  • Click OK to complete the setup.

At this point you have completed the setup procedure for a new connection. Use this connection to dial up ACCI and then open your Internet Explorer browser and you should be all set to go!
