Solution
for Windows98 User with IE 5.0
- Click
Start / Settings / Control Panel
- Click
the Internet Options Icon
- Type:
http://www.automatedcomputers.com
- Click
on Apply
- Click
the Connection Tab at the top of the window
- Click
the button that says "Setup"
This
starts the "Internet Connection Wizard"
- Choose
the third option: (I want to set up my internet connection manually...)
/ Next
- Choose
the first option: (I connect through a phone line and a modem...)
/ Next
Note: At this
point, if you do not have a modem installed, your computer will attempt
to find one
- Enter
your local dialing number
Note:
If you are dialing from Maryland, take the check mark out of the box
that reads: "Dial using the Area Code and Country Code". Then enter
your area code in the same box as the phone number.
- Click
Next
- Enter
your user name and password (All lower case letters and make sure
your CAPS LOCK light is not on) / Next
- Change
connection name to: ACCI / Next
Mail Account Setup
- Choose Yes to setup
your mail account:
- Choose "Create a
new Internet Mail Account"
- Type your name as
it would appear on a letter, or how you would like it to appear
on the Internet
- Type in your email
address: your_user_name@automatedcomputers.com
- Email server names:
- Incoming Mail Server
is: mail.automatedcomputers.com
- Outgoing Mail Server
is: mail.automatedcomputers.com
- Enter your username
and password
- Click next
- Click next
You
have now successfully created your ACCI connection! Click the Finish
button to test the connection.
